The Origin of Youtube.

Youtube And Its Evolution:

There are many technologies over the course of time that have been invented to improve, entertain, communicate, travel and much much more. But in recent times many technologies have been created to entertain the public. And one of the oldest ways to entertain people has been cinematography. One website that was created to entertain on a whole new level was Youtube. A platform created in 2005 that was invented to help people share moments from their household videos by uploading them to the public online. Youtube has since blew up and become one of the biggest platforms in the world with millions of creators who put out content everyday. People started posting videos of their hobbies, opinions, and viral content to the whole world. Youtube was created on February 14th, 2005 by three people Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. These three were former employees of the company Paypal and believed a website where people could post their home videos to share would be a good idea for friends and family to share their content as quickly as possible. And little did they know that youtube would become the 170 billion dollar company it is today. They created the website to be able to share the videos to the world and as quickly as possible. Trying to have the videos be quickly accessed and public to everyone.

How did youtube change the world? This is a big question because it has in so many ways. The website changed many people's lives giving them a job of posting videos of the things they love doing in their free time. There are full time “Youtubers” who post content about Gaming, Sports, Fishing, Makeup, Clothes, Politics and anything you can imagine. The website gave the world a platform where anyone can post a video about anything they want and get it out to the public as fast as possible. The problem youtube solved was to give people the opportunity to be themselves and post about things they love doing, and gave the viewers the opportunity to watch the things they are passionate about. Growing up being a huge skateboarder I can remember logging into youtube and watching skateboarding videos for hours from old to new videos. People would post their old skateboarding clips or montages and I would watch them to try to learn new things and get better. Youtube changed the world of communications forever. This is because it gave all different types of outlets a new platform rather than tv. On youtube there is a place and community for videos and news about any topic you can think of making it easier for followers of something to pay attention to what they like watching or viewing forever. Youtube also had a subscription based following where if you liked a channel you could subscribe to it for free so when that channel posts something new it would be on your homepage so you wouldn't miss out on any of their new content.

Youtube changed the world forever giving many people the outlet to watch or post about the things they are most passionate about. Many of the famous people on youtube did it not for the money but for the passion of what they were doing, giving them a fun way to have people view their content. Youtube will always be one of the best places to watch videos and have people express themselves through cinematography.
